In addition to two years of college, Anita has certifications as CNA, CHPNA, CHHA, PTT, and ERT. 

She has worked as a nursing assistant in home health and as a technician in the ER.

Anita was named the CNA of the Year by the Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization in 2005.
