Louise holds a BA from Hardin-Simmons University and a MAT from Angelo State University.  She also has Secondary Education Certification in English and Sociology. 

She taught High School English for SAISD and is a lecturer in English for Angelo State University

She has served on the San Angelo Schools Foundation.
