About Us

Hospice of San Angelo is a service of West Texas Rehabilitation Center, a not-for-profit organization in the Concho Valley. We provide an expert approach to care for those living with a life limiting illness in the comfort of their own home, and in the company of family and friends. Hospice services are appropriate for all terminal illnesses and we strive to enhance quality of life by focusing on the patient rather than the illness.

Hospice is not a place, but a concept. It is a compassionate, patient centered approach to medical care for those patients for whom curative measures are no longer an option. At Hospice of San Angelo, our team stays focused on providing dignity for our patients, improving their quality of life and controlling pain and symptoms. We teach the patient and their family what to expect as their disease progresses in a manner to ease the anxiety associated with this stage of life. We develop a plan of care individualized for each patient and to meet the family's needs.

Hospice staff is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our physicians work hand-in-hand with our hospice staff to provide quality patient care. The journey at the end of life should not be taken alone; we at Hospice of San Angelo will support our patients and their families as they tread this difficult and sometimes frightening path, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care along the way.

Hospice care is available in designated nursing homes and care facilities allowing patients to have the same hospice care they would receive in their own home.

We provide services in the following 15 counties: Tom Green, Crockett, Irion, Reagan, Sterling, Coke, Runnels, Concho, Schleicher, Sutton, McCulloch, Menard, Mason, Brown and Kimble.

Hospice accepts Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance, but no patient will be denied care if these options are unavailable to them.
